We visited Middleton Hall on our way down to Essex. It is part of Historic Houses.
Here is a picture of a Doll’s House on display. I don’t have any further details about the House but I am including other pictures I took for various reasons.
There are substantial grounds and the main house varied through time. This is a picture of the Old Courtyard, which I think dates from Tudor Times.

For those interested in games some past resident of the hall have been a pioneer in the branch of probability known as Game Theory.
Members of the Peel family also lived at the Hall. Sir Robert Peel was a cousin and they have a Peel Society museum in part of the main hall as it is today.
A picture of “Peelers" helmets through the ages:-

Robert Peel and part of the Timeline. I took this side of the display because of the picture of a doorway and the text below. This is from Christ Church, Oxford with the “No Peel” graffiti.
Robert Peel was from Bury in Lancashire so I took a photo of a display about him with another famous former Bury resident.

And finally a picture of the main house in more recent times, not necessarily the best view.
