We visited two Historic Houses properties whilst looking after our three grandchildren. The first of which was Levens Hall. We were uncertain whether Sarah and I had visited previously but we had, in 2017, possibly only to see the gardens. However, on this visit it was very wet and we got soaked going round the gardens.  I forgot to take any photos not the visit, but the children, who kept rushing from room to room enjoyed looking for birds and mice and the only picture I took was of one of the sheets they filled in.

The prize they got for completing them all was very healthy, and after one bite they all gave up.

We will probably go again for a more leisurely visit, as it is in striking distance of home.
