This module is in two parts. The first, about the remembering consists of 9 units and includes Unit 4 intended to be used on Remembrance Day or close to Remembrance Sunday.
The remaining unts are about Christmas, including five on The Advent Wreath. There are different ways of explaining the wreath, some of which involve different coloured candles. These units, and the accompanying prayers (which the author considers far better than the alternatives) are based on the promises of God to the Patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac & Jacob), the Old Testament Prophets, John the Baptist and Mary.
Because UK schools are usually closed for Christas Day there isn’t a unit for the fifth candle!
Also, in this module there are four unts on traditional Christmas Carols, three of which tie in with neighbouring units (eg Unit 19 The Wise Men and Unit 20 “We Three Kings”).
