The first of September marked the start of new railway modelling season after a summer (mostly) off.

Stage two is the return loop begins with a return loop on the lower level. This involves removing part of the back-scene to make it possible to mark out the loop and cutting cork underlay.

I also sprayed the rest of my track grime coloured. Though all the track for the loop will come from temporary track I had laid in the station to allow for operational variety whilst the grandchildren were here in May.

I intended to ballast the track as it was laid but so far hand not done so. I had been waiting for the TT ballast spreader from Proses, having bought one for OO which I never used. However, I watched a YouTube review of four different OO spreaders, one of which was 3D Printed. Therefore I decided to download a OO spreader model, rescale to TT and print this to try. At the time the photo was taken then watered down glue was still setting but it looked good enough.

I will either add more to this page, or new pages, as I progress with Stage 2 (sometimes called Phase 2).
