Shortly before Christmas I laid new carpet tiles in the Garage after the floor had been levelled by a professional. It would be fair to say that it is not quite as level as I had hoped. After Christmas when I started creating a frame for the new layout boards to sit on there was a variation of about 8mm between the foot of the (24 legs). However, this is significantly less than what I think was about 45mm previously. The main areas where the work table and work bench are located only vary by a millimetre of two. In these photos I had not started installing installation boards.

I also had to replace about 30 tiles that had been damaged either when I first laid two or so years ago, or when I took them up this time. Several others were moved around where the wear would be less obvious. Overall it was satisfying to see things taking shape again.
