A walk up the steps to Whitby Abbey, and fish and chips at The Magpie Cafe were an essentia part of our short visit to Whitby though the real reason for going was to visit another 100 Best Railway Stations entry.

It meant that we were exactly half way to our goal having visited 100 stations having begun 4 and a bit years ago in January 2018 with Hebdon Bridge. As we have now visited most of the nearer stations the second half could take longer.
