These seem to have been passed on within the family but it is not clear if they ever belonged to Jack.

Badge worn by Leonard Phillips
It is not known what this badge is.
Leonard had been in the Rifle Volunteers.
The first picture where he is wearing it was taken on 12 January 1916.
We have at least another couple of pictures from later in life where he was wearing it.
Given the date it is unlikely to have belonged to one of his sons

On Service Badge (recipient not known)
It is not known to whom this badge belonged.
I had a small box of badges, some of which were my own. I found in this a RWR badge and this On Service badge. I can only assume that at some stage it was given to me by my Grandmother Dorothy Cox when I was fairly young. She had been engaged to Jack Phillips (RWR died 1916). It is therefore possible that the On Service badge was hers although I don't remember any mention of her being on war service.
